The Galveston Island Battle of the Badges Organizational Committee is happy to announce their continuing fundraising efforts to benefit the Galveston area community, and proudly announce the 3rd annual Galveston Island Battle of the Badges to be held on Saturday, December 3rd – 2011 at the Moody Gardens Convention Center.
We anticipate this year’s event to be an even greater success than our previous efforts, and through our diligent work and your participation, it is our mission to make a sizeable contribution to both the Shriner’s Burn Hospital for Children, and the Galveston Boy’s and Girl’s club.
Galveston Police have once again partnered with Galveston Fire & Rescue in order to make this event a great success. Members of these departments, as well as members of the Galveston County Sherriff’s Office, Port of Galveston Police, UTMB Police Department, Galveston Beach Patrol, Galveston Distric Attorneys Office, City of Galveston Code Enforcement, D.E.A., Houston Police Department, Precinct 3 Galveston County Constables, and the Texas City Police Department have volunteered to lay it all on the line and to step into the ring for honor, glory and the benefit of many children within this great community.
The event will be held at the Moody Gardens Convention Center, and will be preceded by a two-day long BBQ cook-off, designed to raise additional funds for this great cause.
Today, you can help to make an immediate difference in the lives of children who have suffered severe burn injuries, and your charitable contribution will help to ensure that this invaluable resource will continue to be available in Galveston for many years to come. In addition, you will be helping to support the local Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Galveston, who for many years have helped our children develop into responsible, productive members of our community.
